New Years Eve Update

Surprise, surprise! We had fully planned to be leaving for the first race in Markstay, Ontario tonite (the first race is Lou Serre's) and found out last evening that it has been postponed one week due to the rain we got last weekend! So we have one more week to get ready - it has really turned out to be a blessing in disguise because as we trained the dogs yesterday, we smelled hot wires in the dog truck and then when Randy turned off the engine he saw the dreaded....."smoke"!!!! So today he is trying to figure out the source of the problem and a way to fix it!

We also had time to purchase some new fun/useful/safety equipment.... a used snowmobile (will make it easier to train safely on trails we don't know and to check out the race courses in advance of the races) and a trailer to haul it in = we needed the snowmobile especially since the old 1968 Skidoo caught on fire 3 weeks ago and we possibly will sell the trailer up in Alaska (apparently there is always a market for them) and maybe make a profit. So that's wher we are now, I will post some pictures of recent activities and maybe the new toy!
