Success....!!!!

So we got the 16 dogs hooked up and off down the trail and I jumped in Pam's Toyota Corolla and got over to the parking spot in 4 minutes flat - no speeding= and then I walked briskly (did run for about 100 yards.......) and got there in what I thought was plenty of time.......cause Randy didn't really know how long it would take him to get there - so I waited ......and waited.......and waited...thought I heard him whistling in the woods......and waited......and practiced my position for blocking the trail access for the leaders (kink of like some weird Ninja position.....with outstretched arms and squatting - the only thing I was missing was the "Hyahhhh!") and waited......and finally they came around the corner 50 yards from where I was blocking the straight-ahead trail.....and the leader, Rocky decided I didn't look like a "block" and he would go around me......little did he know that I would "put the moves" on him and pushed the leaders back into the right trail!!! Success!!! they went around the airstrip while I hustled over to the next trail blocking place and this time when the leaders saw me in the "Ninja position" they got the hint and went hard gee!!! So I walked back to the car (1/2 mile) and drove back to the truck thinking that Randy had said he would be back faster than me and hoping I would get out of some of the dog chores (watering and un-harnessing) but he still wasn't back so I still got to do my part!!! He said today was the first day since we have been up here that they really looked like a "team" - if Anna doesn't run better on Tuesday she might sit this one out but most everybody else looked good!!

Saw Pam today and thanked her again for letting us use her car, because again, if we didn't have it I wouldn't have been able to help Randy today! She asked if we liked salmon and I said I love it and Randy will eat anything - so tomorrow nite is dinner at the Schambers'!

Grandma Cris, that was your funniest post so far (in my opinion). I can totally see the "ninja pose." Glad you had a good run Dad. - Jess
